Thank you for participating in the Spacial Audio Forums. Before engaging in any discussion please understand that information posted to these forums becomes property of Spacial Audio and is subject to the rules posted here and any amendment made to the rules either publicly or privately.
These forums are primarily staffed by volunteer users to assist other users of the same software resolve technical issues. While opinions may differ, treating each other with
respect,
patience, and
understanding is required, not optional.
To report posts to the moderators and administrators, click the

Rules violations can result in locked or moved topics, user warnings, and/or user bans. Be responsible when posting.
- Private Messages / Email:
Please use the forums for support. Private messages and emails to administrators, moderators, SVS members, and Spacial Audio personnel clutter their inbox and help one person by one person while public posts help everyone by many. Technical support PMs/emails may be ignored, deleted, or otherwise handled based on the users personal preference.
- Advertising:
Services and products that "compliment" Spacial Audio products and/or services are OK while marketing direct competing products is generally not acceptable. Advertising in the Free Content/Self Promotion forum is for content providers and should be limited to once per week.
Posts in this forum, sometimes referred to as "pimping", are automatically pruned, or deleted, after one week of inactivity. Bumping posts prior to the one week pruning is OK but as a general courtesy it is best to reply with something more than just "bump".
- Privacy:
Posting another user's personal details, such as phone number or address, without permission is not acceptable.
- Off-topic posts / Topic Hijacking / Bumping / Me Too:
These are primarily technical support forums and care should be taken to minimize off-topic posts and topic hijacking. Posts which do not contribute to a conversation or help resolve technical issues, such as "me too" or post bumping, should be avoided.
Sometimes topics can go a few days without a response. Don't take it as an offense. It may be because the wording is unclear, the person(s) with the answer(s) aren't available, because nobody has any idea on how to resolve, or some other reason. Bumping is OK in this case but as a general courtesy it is best to reply with something more than just "bump".
- Cross-posting:
Posting the same topic in attempt to get broader coverage of an issue only clutters the forums and makes it more difficult for the community to help.
- Helpful links:
When possible, try to give direct links to knowledge base articles, forum discussions, or Internet pages (or provide instructions on how to get there). Replies such as "It's in the KB.", "Just go search for it...", or "RTFM" are lazy and/or rude. This can be difficult to do especially in clear-cut cases of RTFM but including content fosters helpfulness and strengthens the community.
- Signature Size:
Please keep signature sizes to three lines or one banner size image. Anything larger may be removed by an administrator. Any and all signature content can be removed by an administrator for any reason they see fit, even if it does meet these guidelines. Examples are signatures that contain insults, racial comments or anything beyond a reasonable standard of good taste.
Administrators, Moderators, Spacial Volunteer Support users, and Spacial Audio personnel are exempt from the signature size rule. These users are clearly identified by their rank and/or signature content.
